Photo by Mike James/Silver Creek Communications The only buffalos in Snowflake are now birthing, with two of the three females having given birth to a male and a female calf, which are born a cream color and darken as they get older. Alex Winn purchased the buffalos in Young as yearlings and brought them to Snowflake, where he and his wife Patty live at 2531 W. Plum Blossom Lane. They also have a 1,400-lb. bull buffalo. The Winns welcome everyone to stop by to see the buffalos. They are tame, and if you stand around for 15 to 20 minutes, they settle down and you can feed them hay.
