Holbrook Schools Honor Teachers Of The YearMay 23rd, 2008
The Holbrook School District Teachers of the Year were honored at the Holbrook High School Scholarship Banquet last week. Each year the principals of each school in the district select a teacher they believe excelled in the job as an instructor to the youth in our community. The 2007-08 Teachers of the Year include Nichole Livingston of Park Elementary School; Kerry Perkins of Hulet Elementary School, Jami Williams of Indian Wells Elementary School, Daphne Lamb of Holbrook Junior High School and Julie Foree of HHS. The Rookie Elementary Teacher of the Year is a teacher selected alternate years for each school. This year Hulet Elementary selected fifth grade teacher Kristen Tremonti. HHS and HJHS also alternate years, and this year HJHS selected language arts teacher Dennis Pelty at the Rookie Secondary Teacher of the Year. Volunteers of the year are Melinda Rose and Johnny Glover.
