Show Low Woman Dies In AccidentMay 28th, 2008
A 52-year-old Show Low woman was killed on Wednesday morning, May 21, when the motorcycle she was riding was struck by a car at milepost 355.5 on State Route 77. At 7:34 a.m. on May 21, the Snowflake-Taylor Police Department, Taylor Fire Department and Taylor-Snowflake Ambulance responded to the scene of the accident. The Show Low woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident occurred when the driver of the car suddenly lost power, tried to stop and lost control, spinning into the oncoming motorcycle. A preliminary investigation was conducted at the scene. No signs of impairment were observed from the other driver. The investigation is ongoing at this time. Assistance was also provided by the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the Navajo County Sheriff’s Office and the Arizona Department of Motor Vehicles. The names of the victim and the driver of the car were unavailable at press time.
