County Rescinds Fire RestrictionsMay 28th, 2008
Because of recent storms and because fire restrictions on the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests were lifted, the Navajo County Board of Supervisors rescinded the Navajo County Outdoor Fire Ordinance, Section Seven Emergency Fire Restrictions during a special meeting held May 23. The fire restrictions had been enacted just days earlier. Supervisors David Tenney and Jerry Brownlow, County Manager Jimmy Jayne and Emergency Man-ager Tim Zaremba were slated to meet with fire chiefs in the region on Tuesday to develop a further course of action. More information on fire conditions can be found online at www.593info.org, or by calling 593 or (928) 333-3412.
