Winslow Blood Drive Is Slated Next Week

    Soroptimist of Winslow and the Winslow Elks Lodge No. 536 will host a Summer Blood Drive on Wednesday and Thursday, July 16 and 17, at the lodge, located at 315 W. Third St. The drive will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, and from 1:30 to 6 p.m. on Thurs-day.
    United Blood Services is currently low on O- and O+ blood types.
    To donate, you must weigh at least 110 lbs.; you must be 18 years old, or 17 with a parents permission slip; and you must be in good health the day of donation and not taking antibiotics.
    You should drink plenty of water and eat a light meal before donating.
    The entire process takes 45 minutes to an hour.
