More Wind Turbine Components Arrive

The dinosaurs at Luna’s Rainbow Rock Shop in Holbrook look out on a new age of technology as trucks transport huge columns for wind turbines March 4 as part of the Iberdrola Dry Lake Wind Farm. The wind farm will produce 63 megawatts of electricity that will be sold to Salt River Project, helping the utility company meet new Arizona requirements regarding renewable energy. The farm will be located about 18 miles southwest of Holbrook, about halfway between Highways 377 and 77.
