April 3rd, 2009

Eleanor Hansen and the late Juanita Bennett were indicted into the Joseph City Hall of Fame in a Founders Day ceremony held March 21 at the Joseph City Fire House.
Juanita Bennett was honored for her outstanding service to the youth of Joseph City. Her time, talent, example, dedication and love for the students and parents of this community are appreciated and missed. The award was presented to Juanita’s son, Alan Bennett of Flagstaff, by Carol Shelly.
Eleanor Hanson was honored for the unbelievable amount of time, talent and dedication she has given to beautify the community, especially the Joseph City Cemetery.  She was not feeling well, so the award was presented to her husband, Gene Hansen, by Karilyn Bushman.
The Hall of Fame honors those who have made a significant impact on the community. Previous honorees are Jay Miller and Irene Roberson. The honoree plaque is on the wall of the fire house.
