Vargas Field Rededicated

Col. Jay Vargas (left), Medal of Honor recipient and Winslow native, was on hand for the rededication of Vargas Field on Saturday, May 2. The field, which was originally built in 1935, has been in constant use for the past 74 years and recently received some greatly needed renovations. Also pictured are members of the Winslow Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, including (second from left to right) Beth Carlson, Bill Lawler, John Jacobs, Dan Simmons, Olivia Todd, Theresa Warren and Sylvia Hartnett.
