Arthur Miller Receives Special Math Teacher Award

    Arthur Miller, Holbrook Seventh Day Adventist Indian School math teacher, was recognized during the 2009 graduation ceremonies with an Excellence in Teaching Award.
    The award was presented by Alumni Awards Foundation board member CH DeHaan.
    Miller has been teaching at Holbrook Indian School for ten years. He sets a high standard for his stu-dents and helps the students believe in themselves. He continually researches the best books and materials available for the classroom and works tirelessly in implementing new teaching techniques.
    In describing Miller’s accomplishments, DeHann said, “Mr. Miller is one of ten teachers across North America to received this award in 2009. He joins the ranks of 67 exceptional educators who have raised the bar for best practices in teaching.”
    The Alumni Awards Foundation was established in 1995 and functions as an independent nonprofit organization. They have awarded grants to schools and teachers totaling more than $1 million.
