Tractor-Trailer Fire Snarls I-40 Traffic

    A tractor-trailer traveling east on Interstate 40 caught fire at 6:04 a.m. on Sunday, June 28, near milepost 316, which is about halfway between Holbrook and Chambers.
    According to a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety, the trailer transporting furniture caught fire, causing an extended delay in traffic. The tractor was able to disengage from the trailer and there were no injuries. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
