John Leslie Pfister

    John Leslie Pfister, 47, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2009, at his residence in Show Low. No services are planned.
    He was born September 20, 1961, at Indianapolis, Ind., the son of James and Virginia (Taylor) Pfister.  He came to Arizona at an early age and attended school in Phoenix.  
    After schooling, he entered the U.S. Army and served four years, some of which was in Korea.  
    He worked in the landscape industry while living in Phoenix.  He came to Show Low in 2002.  
    He enjoyed gardening and fishing.  He had a great sense of humor and was liked by everyone who knew him.  
    He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Show Low Post 9907.
    Survivors include his very best friend, Vickie Cook of Show Low; two sons, Shawn Pfister of Nevada and Brian Pfister of Illinois; two sisters, Jenny Samuels of Payson and Janell Koessler of Chicago; two brothers, James Pfister Jr. of Illinois and Jeff Pfister of Snowflake; and several nieces and nephews.
    Black’s Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
