Rominger Is Honored As CASA Of The Year

    The Navajo County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program held its annual volunteer appreciation event June 27 at Show Low Park. About 75 people, attended including CASA’s, their families and some community supporters of the program.
    Also on hand to offer their thanks to the volunteers who speak to the best interest of abused and neglected children were Presiding Navajo County Superior Court Judge Michala Ruechel and Judge Carolyn Holliday.
    Jay Rominger of Pinetop was named CASA of the Year by CASA Coordinator Kirk Grugel. In speaking to the crowd about Rominger and his commitment to his assigned child, Grugel noted that he is an exemplary CASA with great integrity and spirit.
