Elks Ritual Team Places Third

The Holbrook Elks Ritual team placed third in the West, edged out of second place by less than three-hundredths of a point, at the National Elks Convention held July 5-9 in Portland, Ore. Nancy Moses-Cobb was the top Candidate for the West, which is called an All American.  Only the top two teams from both the East and the West compete again for honors as the overall top team in the nation. The Holbrook team, which won the Arizona title at the state convention in May, includes (left to right) Esquire John Lamb, Leading Knight Paul Ortega, Inner Guard Pat Nichols, Loyal Knight Randy Ramirez, Exalted Ruler Floyd Russell, Chaplain Cindy Allen, Lecturing Knight Bobby Keene, Candidate Nancy Moses-Cobb, and (not pictured) Coaches Jerry Young and Beverly Goodnight.
