Not only was Holbrook Police Chief Mark Jackson unaware his picture was being taken, he was also apparently unaware that nowhere in his contract does it require that he paint flagpoles. According to his administrative secretary, Emily Wheeler, it wouldn’t matter. “The chief is a fixer; if it needs to be done he doesn’t wait around for someone else to do it,” she said. The police station will also be receiving some planters for the front of the building, as well as a fresh coat of paint in the next month that will brighten it up.
