Accidental Shooting Claims Man’s Life

    On Saturday, Sept. 26, Navajo County Sheriff’s deputies were called to an accidental shooting on Butler Trail outside of Snowflake. Charles Weissert, 44, of Mesa, was pronounced dead at the scene.
    An investigation revealed that Weissert had reached into the back of a pickup to move a handgun. While he was handling the gun, it went off and the bullet struck him in the chest.
