Work has begun on the infrastructure for the traffic light at the Bashas’-Walmart intersection in Taylor. The project is moving forward, but the lights will not be hung or turned on until Walmart builds or a traffic study is done to prove the light is warranted. Workers are making the radius for the turning lanes that are required by the Arizona Department of Transportation.  The sidewalks that were installed two to three years ago will be finished and will be continual with a crossing there.  On the Walmart side, the radius will define a right turn lane. The project should be completed in four weeks.
