Local Charities In Need Of Holiday Donations

Esther James, Paula Begay and young Faith Cepi help unload bread, pastry, fruit and other food donated to Catholic Charities in Holbrook. Catholic Charities, along with other local service organizations, such as the Bread of Life Mission and the Holbrook Food Bank, are preparing for the holiday season and are in need of donations. Sister Bernard (not pictured) noted that last year Zachry Construction, the company installing upgrades at Cholla Power Plant, donated all of the turkeys handed out at Thanksgiving, but the firm is no longer working in the area so she is hoping that other companies or individuals will be able to fill the gap.
