Donut Sales Will Help To Bring Hope For Ari

November 11th, 2009

Two-year-old Ariana “Ari” Taylor, the granddaughter of Twyla and Rick Taylor of Holbrook, and the daughter of Jacob and Elisa Taylor, has battled seizures, a stroke, a brain bleed, reflux and cerebral palsy in her short lifetime, leaving her disabled, but not without hope.
Her family is hoping she can receive stem cell therapy treatment, a therapy not available in the United States, but which has had amazing results in other countries.
The cost of the treatment is more than $40,000, and should be performed before Ari’s fourth birthday for the best chance of success.
A fund-raiser for Ari is under way. Boxes of Krispy Kreme donuts are on sale for $8 per dozen. Glazed and chocolate varieties are available. They can be picked up from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21, at Pioneer Title Company in Winslow, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, at Z92.1 studios in Holbrook.
To place an order, call Twyla Taylor at 241-1075, Ron Smith at 241-2202 or Pioneer Title Company at 289-2028. Checks or money orders may be mailed to: “Hope for Ari,” 1590 Porter Canyon Road, Holbrook, Ariz. 86025.
