Winslow City Council Candidate List Noted

    Prospective candidates for a seat on the Winslow City Council or for mayor had until Monday to file their packets.     
    The terms of Mayor Robin Boyd, Councilman Harold Soehner, and Councilwomen Judy Howell and Marsha Jergensen will be up for election. Each has filed papers for re-election. Other candidates who had filed as of Friday, Dec. 4, included Jim Weldon, who is seeking election as mayor, and Rudy Montoya, Curtis Hardy and Katherine Conner-Contreras, who are seeking election to the council.
    It will be reported in Friday’s edition of the newspaper whether the March 9 primary election will be held or canceled due to the number of candidates. The general election will be held on May 18.
