Lobo Golfers Take First In Three-Way MatchMarch 12th, 2008
By Greg Perkins The Snowflake Lobos placed first in a three-team conference golf match held at Silver Creek March 6. Playing just nine holes on a cold and windy day, Kyle Craig of Show Low took the low individual honor with an even par 36. Snowflake’s Kyle Jones placed second, carding a 39. Lobos Tanner Stratton placed fourth with a 42, Tyson Webb, sixth with 47, and Parker McDonald, seventh with a 48. The Lobos took the team honors with a total of 176. Show Low placed second with 189 and Winslow finished in third place with 197 strokes. The same three teams will be in Holbrook today (March 12) for a nine-hole competition, then the Lobos will head to warmer climate this weekend to compete in the large Thatcher Invitational. Between 15 and 20 teams are expected to be in the field for the two-day, 36-hole event.
