Holbrook Little League Is Seeking Volunteers

March 12th, 2008

Several members of the Holbrook Little League Board of Directors will be retiring, and prospective new members are being sought.
The league is also in need of volunteers to help with the upcoming season. Umpires, announcers, score-keepers and concession workers are especially needed.
Holbrook Little League signups will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today through Friday (March 12-14) and from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, March 15, at the Hulet Elementary School gym. The final sign-ups for age 9 and up will be held March 15. Youth who have not played before will need to bring a birth certificate.
Parents or guardians of everyone signing up to play will need to provide three proofs of residency, such as a utility bill, insurance form or driver’s license. The signup fee is $15 each for 5 to 8-year-olds, and $30 each for 9 to 16-year-olds.
For more information or to volunteer, call Kellie Spangler at 524-2176.
