Charity Basketball Game Features Holbrook, Winslow School Staffs

March 25th, 2008

The third annual charity basketball game pitting the staff of the Holbrook School District against their counterparts in Winslow will tip off at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 14, at Munoz Gym on the Holbrook High School campus. Tickets are available at the HHS Bookstore for $4 for kids, $5 for students with ID and $6 for adults. Admission prices will be $2 higher at the door.
The event is sponsored by the HHS and Winslow High School student council, and proceeds will go to the Arizona Division of the National Meningitis Association.
The NMA educates and increase awareness of Meningococcal Disease. Three thousand cases of the disease are reported annually in the U.S., and young adults and adolescents are at higher risk for contract-ing it. If caught in time, it can be treated by an antibiotic.
