Members of the Northern Arizona Barrel Racing Association (NABRA) competed April 5 at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook.

   In 2-D competition, Lily Click, riding Twiggy, won in a time of 23.135, followed by Greg Schindler on Nifty in 23.181 and Robyn Stephens on Gear in 23.524.
   In 3-D competition, Greg Schindler, riding Express, won in a time of 25.193, followed by MacLayne Chlarson on Jimmy Girl in 25.219, Christa Case on Spring in 25.651, Randy Johnson on Patches in 25.699, Suzy Case on April in 25.914 and Lisa Johnson on Candy in 26.035.
   In 4-D competition there were no qualifiers.
   In 5-D competition, Tammy Davis, riding Beep Beep, won in a time of 28.941, followed by Karen Beebe on Peppermint Patty in 32.075, Brittany Case on Frosty in 35.806, and Cheyenne Gibson on 6 Pack, Alex Ramage on Blue and Melissa Beebe on Gracie, each with no time.

   In 1-D competition, Bailee Bain, riding Kaydee, won in a time of 22.367, followed by Sharaya Edgewa-ter on Jo Kid in 23.739, Sharaya Edgewater on Curtis Patrick in 25.703, Brittany Case on Frosty in 26.033 and Owens Perkins on JB in 27.275.
   In 2-D competition, Tristan Stiles, riding Jet, won in a time of 28.378.
   In 3-D competition, Alexandra Jeffers-Sample, riding Booger, won in a time of 34.011.
   In 4-D competition, Callie Edgewater, riding Curtis Patrick, won in a time of 50.859, followed by Can-yon Cooke on Rev in 59.649, Shyann Stephens on Socks in 73.483, Nizhoni McCray on Andrea in 88.206 and Nizhoni McCray on Curtis Patrick with no time.

   In 1-D competition, Cougar Cooke, riding Rev, won in a time of 48.478.
   In 4-D competition, Gage Perkins, riding Rooster, won in a time of 65.350, followed by Shawndin McCray on Andrea in 68.246, Gracie Jo Perkins on Rooster in 71.026, Braeden Hanson on Socks in 72.696 and Cieneca Cooke on Rev in 75.184.
   The NABRA schedule includes events on April 19 at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook, May 3, 17 and 31 at Show Low Village Arena, May 24 at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds as part of the Trapper Days celebration, June 12, 19 and 26, July 10 and 31, and Aug. 9, 16 and 23 at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds, Aug. 30 at the Taylor Rodeo Grounds as part of the Sweet Corn Festival, and Sept. 20 at the Navajo County Fairgrounds in Holbrook. The NABRA Finals will be held on Sept. 27 at the Navajo County Fairgrounds. Contestants must meet eligibility requirements to enter.
   For all Saturday events, the books open at 9 a.m. and close at 10:30 a.m., time only from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., and run at 11 a.m. For all Thursday events, the books open at 5 p.m. and close at 6:30 p.m., time only from 5 to 6 p.m., and run at 7 p.m.
   Barrels are run on a 4D format with one-second intervals. Poles are run on a 5D format with two-second intervals. There are lead line and youth division for barrels. Poles are run in an open format.
