Yellowhair And Baldwin Named To 3A East All Region Softball TeamMay 21st, 2008
Snowflake High School’s Shaylee Yellowhair, a senior, and Nicole Baldwin, a junior, were named to the 3A East All Region Softball First Team. Lesley Nielsen, a senior at Show Low High School, was selected as the Player of the Year. Her coach, Carl Nix, was named Coach of the Year. Also named to the first team were seniors Chelsea Nix, Madison Allen and Shelby Kay, and juniors Amanda Whipple and Sarah Nicks, all of Show Low; juniors Liesl Hall and Kelsi Graham, both of Blue Ridge; seniors Candice Johnson and Sarah Cadd, both of Payson; and sophomore Nikki Buck of Round Valley. Those named to the 3A East All Region Second Team included senior Karina Haught and junior Cas-sidy Adair, both of Snowflake; junior Jessica Bloomer of Show Low; senior Nicole Parrack and junior Anna Martin, both of Blue Ridge; seniors Hannah Palandri and Hannah Armenta, both of Payson; seniors Chelsea Slade and Ashley Slade, and junior Tiffany Pena, all of Round Valley; and juniors Noel Hinton and Kayla Declay, all of Alchesay. Honorable mention went to juniors Olivia Lewis and Charece Larson, both of Snowflake; junior Ashley Craven and sophomore Kayleen Keith, both of Show Low; juniors Jessica Baker and Lacee Cannon, and sophomore Bonnie Nelson, all of Blue Ridge; sophomores Jourdan Emerald, and Tiana Tafoya, both of Round Valley; senior Aubrey Laird and junior Cydney Figueroa, both of Payson; and senior Eunie Walker of Alchesay.
