YFL And Cheer Jamboree Slated

May 28th, 2008

Holbrook Youth Football and Cheer will be hosting this year’s Youth Football and Cheer Jamboree on Saturday, Aug. 23. The event will draw at least 39 football and 39 cheer teams from Holbrook, Prescott, Prescott Valley, Flagstaff, Tuba City, Williams and Winslow for football and cheer competition.
In past years the event has been held in Prescott, bringing in approximately 4,000 visitors to that city who participate and enjoy the activities.
A meeting is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday, June 7, at the Holbrook Library to discuss preparation for the event. Organizers are looking for volunteers to assist with the event, as well as dona-tions in order to provide concessions for those attending. All proceeds from the concessions will go to Hol-brook Youth Football and Cheer.
