Blend Of Youth, Experience Promises Good Year For Holbrook Track SquadMarch 6th, 2009
By Greg Perkins Holbrook’s head track and field coach, Jody Good, and his assistants are looking forward to a good sea-son, with several returning athletes from last year's team. Assisting Coach Good will be Lelia Demuth, Fred Jackson and Jen Moats. “We are excited for this season. I feel we have come a long way from last season and we still have room to improve. On this year’s team 21 athletes are returning from last year. Nine of those were state qualifiers and two placed at the state meet last year. We also have a solid mixture of youth in the freshmen and sophomores that I feel are going to add energy and excitement in the Holbrook track and field program for years to come.” said Coach Good. Girls on the team this year include Nicole Kee, Jennifer Turley, Paola Silva, Shianne Nez, Valdena John, Sheriesse Thomas, Tess McGee, Andrell Williams, Kalei Long, April Lester, Katrin Bottkee, Chelsea John, Claudette Lester, Reanna Chee and Chantelle Gaddy. Boys on the team are Tate Kalwiseoma, James Self, Nolen James, Reuben Kee, Dakota Lester, Ty Keyonnie, Christopher Chester, Troy Guy, Josh Hatch, Devin Begay, Phillip Curtis, Tarrance Tsosie, Clint Alex, Trent Holmes, Robert Jager, Jackie Frank, Adrian Thomas, Cory Kanuho, Morty Jim, Colin Larry, Olin Jones, Zach Halwood, Ryan Williams, Dean Shirley, Mathew Irwin, Rex Self, Marcelino Luna and Allen Rishel.
