Birds Place Second In Three-Way Golf Match

    Hosting Snowflake and Blue Ridge last Wednesday at Hidden Cove, the Roadrunners finished in second place with 187 team strokes. Snowflake was first with 151 and Blue Ridge finished five shots behind Holbrook with 192.
    Kory Koerperich shot the best score for Holbrook, carding a 41 over the nine-hole course. Ryan Best posted a 47, followed by Quayla Skevington with a 48, Random Skevington with a 51 and AJ Larsen with a 56.
    Snowflake’s Tobias Weihe shot the lowest round of the day with an even par 36. Teammate Jordon Henderson posted a 37 and Kyle Jones shot a 38.  Nick Routhier posted a 40 and Parker McDonald shot a 46.
    Blue Ridge’s leading golfer was Grath Trainer, who posted a 45.
    In the junior varsity match, Snowflake again took top honors with a team total of 177. Blue Ridge was second with 209 and Holbrook posted a 235.  
    For the Roadrunners, Kordell Curley posted a 55, followed by Cody Hanley with 56, Harvey Smithson and Miles Begay with matching 62s, and Robert Dawson with a 75.
    Snowflake’s Michael Peterson posted a 38 to win the individual match.
