Roadrunners Lose To Round Valley

    Holbrook outhit the Round Valley Elks Tuesday afternoon in Eagar, but still came up short, losing the non-region contest 12-2.  
    The Roadrunners are still searching for their first regular season win of the season, although through the first four innings in this contest they were still within reach of Round Valley, trailing just 3-1.  
    In the fifth and sixth innings the floodgates opened up as the home team scoring four in the fifth and added five more in the sixth to end the game under the 10-run rule.
    Holbrook collected nine hits in the game, scored two runs and made just one error, but left eight runners on base.
    Round Valley countered with eight hits, no errors and left five runners stranded.  
    Brian Hansen and Gabi Aguilera both went two for three at the plate.  Cooper Reidhead was one for two with a walk. Joey Aguilera went two for two, walked and collected both of Holbrook’s RBIs. Tilden Roberson was one for two.

    With the loss the Roadrunners fall to 1-9 on the season. They will host Snowflake today (March 20) and face off with Payson in a doubleheader at home on Saturday.  Following that, they will be off until Thurs-day, April 2, when they travel to Snowflake.
