Lady Lobos Earn Wins Over Round Valley And PaysonOctober 7th, 2009
By Greg Perkins Snowflake’s Lady Lobos regrouped nicely from their loss to Monument Valley last weekend, winning both of this week's East region volleyball matches in three games. The Lady Lobos traveled to Eagar last Tuesday and pretty much dominated the Round Valley Lady Elks, 25-17, 25-12 and 25-20. The Snowflake squad was led by its two big hitters, with Jessica Johnson recording 13 kills, six blocks and a dig, and Brittany Titus with 16 kills, a block and two digs. Reagon Godfrey served up an ace, and had 14 assists and two digs. Brooklyn Rogers helped with nine assists. Jacquelyn Wolfe had two kills, a block, two assists and a dig. Courtney Reidhead tabulated three kills, an ace and two assists. Kelcie Brimhall had a kill and five digs. Sherrida Fish was credited with an assist, and Taylor Brubaker had six kills in the win. On Friday the Lady Lobos took care of Payson, winning the match in three straight games. This week the Lady Lobos will be busy. After hosting Round Valley today (Oct. 7), they will play in the prestigious Goldwater Tournament. On Friday they face Gilbert, Sandra Day O’Connor and Queen Creek. “All the schools at this tournament are much bigger than us, and it will be a tough weekend,” said Coach Alan Ramage.
