The Lobos of Snowflake are headed to the 3A State Soccer Tournament as the second seed from the East region. They will face Chino Valley, the third seed from the West region, in their first round match-up.
Snowflake ended the regular season on a sour note, falling to Round Valley at home by a final of 6-5 last Wednesday evening. That loss left Snowflake with a record of 4-2 in region play and 7-3 on the season.
The Lobos will face Chino Valley at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 30, on Field No. 5 at the Tempe Sports Complex. The Cougars placed 3rd in the West region with an overall record of 5-10-1. They were 4-4 in region play.
If the Lobos win that match, they will face either South No. 4 San Miguel or the top seed from the Metro region, Phoenix Country Day, at 12 noon on Saturday, Oct. 31.  A loss in either match would bring an end to Snowflake’s season.
