Lobo Wrestlers Compete In Peaks Invitational Meet

  Wrestling at the Peaks Invitational Meet held Dec. 5 in Flagstaff, seven Snowflake Lobo wrestlers placed in the large dual team tournament.  The squad faced eight different schools and posted a team record of 3-5.  
    Individually, the Lobos were led by Jason McCray, who placed second in the 215-pound division.  
    Wyatt Hatch placed third at 152, as did Chris Pacheco at 285.  
    Earning fourth place finishes were Clayton Solomon at 119 and Brandt Perkins, who wrestled at 160.  
    Zane Owens placed fifth in the 103 class, and Lane Whipple was sixth in the 125-pound division.
    In the team dual competitions, Snowflake fell to Prescott, 46-27, Queen Creek, 45-33, Flagstaff, 40-34, Kofa, 44-36, and Benson, 47-35.  They picked up wins over Delores, Colo., 63-3, Coolidge, 51-27 and Barry Goldwater, 45-18.
