Jessica L. Young

Jessica LaDawn Young, 23, died on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008. Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, at Owens Mortuary, located at 401 N. First Ave. in Holbrook. Funeral services will be held at 1 o’clock this afternoon (Feb. 29) at the Church of Christ, located at 335 W. Erie St. in Holbrook. A gathering of family and friends will follow the services at Holbrook Fire Station No. 3, located at 100 W. Airport Road.
   She was born Feb. 1, 1985, to Merrill Young and Julie (Ward) Hancock in Show Low.
   She graduated from Valley Union High School in 2003.
   Jessica was a loving and devoted mother; she was a selfless and kindhearted person, who always went out of her way to help others.
   She was a member of the Church of Christ in Holbrook.
   Jessica was a real cowgirl who loved horses and rodeos.
   Survivors include her son, Caiden Thomas Justice; fiancé, Jacob Justice; her birth father and his family, including father Merrill Young, stepmother Michaela Young, brother Joshua White, sisters Lindsey White and Kristin Young, uncle Frank Young, aunt Juanita Young, grandfather Lee Young and stepgrandmother Sharon Young; her birth mother and her family, including mother Julie Hancock, father Jed Hancock, sister Caitlin Hancock, uncle Michael Ward, grandparents Ken and Ann Ward, and Lois and Gerald Hancock, grandmother Jill Ellsworth, great-great-grandparents Paul and Beth Ellsworth; godparents Dan and Kelly Greene; and numerous aunts, uncles, family and friends.
   She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Lynnette Young.
