Richard Lynn Danielson, 68, died on Saturday, March 22, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Temple View Ward in Snowflake, with Bishop Nikolaus Decker officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 o’clock tonight (March 28) at the Temple View Ward. Utah services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 31, at the Paradise First Ward, located at 155 E. 9400 South in Paradise Utah. Born in Logan, Utah, Richard grew up and attended school there, graduating in 1957. Following high school, he went into the military. In 1967, he met Hilda Thurman and they married on March 4, 1967. They made their home in Animas, N.M. Richard worked at Lee County Electric and later at Phelps Dodge. He retired in 1997, and they moved to San Antonio in 1998. Hilda passed away in 2002. In 2003 he moved to Queen Creek. There he met Kathleen Buntin and they were married on April 17, 2004. They moved to Snowflake in 2005. He was a great gardener, enjoyed woodworking and was known for being able to fix anything. He was a faithful member of the LDS church, and served valiantly in numerous callings. Survivors include his wife Kathleen Danielson of Snowflake; three daughters, Mary Ann Adair of Queen Creek and Ruthie Danielson, both of Queen Creek, and Jennie Danielson of Gilbert; two sons, James Danielson of Boston, Mass., and Robert Danielson of Enid, Okla.; one stepdaughter, Terri Buntin of Queen Creek; three stepsons, Brian Buntin of Irmo, S.C., Shawn Buntin of Taylor and Shane Buntin of Queen Creek; two sisters, Lucille Bankhead and Faye Mellor, both of Ogden, Utah; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Jennie Danielson; his wife, Hilda; his brother, Carl; and his sister, Ruth. Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow is in charge of the arrangements.
