Nina Lee Cook

Nina Lee Cook, 78, of Show Low died on Sunday, March 23, 2008, at RTA Hospice in Lakeside. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, at Show Low Cemetery, with Minister Steve Johnson officiating.
    Mrs. Cook was born Oct. 14, 1929, in Cashion, the daughter of Charles Wesley and Nina K. (Dominy) Pendergast.  She was a fifth generation Arizona native.  
    She was married to Jack Fred Cook on April 22, 1950, at Buckeye. They went from the Valley to Mav-erick in 1957, and came to Show Low in 1963.  
    She was a homemaker.
    Survivors include a son, Dennis (Carolyn) Cook of Chandler; a daughter, Karen Hallonquist of Show Low; a brother, Adolf (Glenna) Pendergast of Palo Verde; 12 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.  
    She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a son, Steven Cook.
    Black’s Mortuary of Show Low is in charge of the arrangements.
