Albert Dell Hatch, 84, died peacefully on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, in Phoenix. Funeral services were held April 21 at the Woodruff Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was at the Woodruff Cemetery. Albert was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Woodruff to Albert and Zina (Brinkerhoff) Hatch. He graduated from Snowflake High School. Following school, Albert served in Germany during World War II with the US Army. After the war, he attended Arizona State College (now Arizona State University) in Tempe. Albert drove a truck for Whiting Brothers until he had an accident in which he was severely burned. In 1978, he moved from Woodruff to Mesa, where he then went to work for the Arizona Railroad Com-pany. Albert then moved from Mesa back to Woodruff, where he resided until he was unable to care for himself. He was a faithful member of the LDS church, where he served in various callings, including the Bish-opric for the Woodruff Ward, and he was known as a great Sunday School teacher. Albert loved all kinds of music. He will be greatly missed by all. Survivors include three sons, Neil (Dayanne) Hatch of Simi Valley, Calif., Samuel Hatch of Payson and Joe Hatch of Mesa; a daughter, Dale (Ray) Parrott of Mesa; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Orland; and four sisters, Grace, Aleen, Janel and Vyrla. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Beverly, two weeks old; seven brothers; and two sisters. Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
