Joy Olivine Chlarson

Joy O. Chlarson, 86, died on Monday, April 28, 2008, in Lakeside. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Owens Mortuary Chapel, located at 320 N. Ninth St. in Show Low. A visitation will precede the service at 9 a.m. Interment will be at the Show Low Cemetery.
   She was born May 13, 1921, in Manitou, Okla., to John Oliver and Nila Belle (Montgomery) Thomp-son.
   She loved her family and animals, especially her dogs and cats.
   Survivors include her three sons, H.R. (Sue) Chlarson, Mike (Margaret) Chlarson and Shawn (Carrie) Chlarson; two daughters, Linda Prather and Karla Sheaffer; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and two great- great-grandchildren.
   She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Karl Chlarson; her son, Karl J. Chlarson; and a great-grandson, Lee Cosby.
