Connie Baca

Conception “Connie” Baca, 95, died on Sunday, April 27, 2008, in Snowflake, surrounded by her family. Mass was celebrated May 1 at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake.
   She was born Maria Conception Baca on July 2, 1912, in Tome, N.M., to Abel and Manuela (Torres) Zamora.
   Survivors include five sons, Roman (Donna) Baca of Wisconsin, Ralph Baca of Snowflake, Sammy Baca of Snowflake, Raymond Baca (Dorothy Dickson) of Snowflake and Morris (Peggy) Baca of Colo-rado; three daughters, Rosie Gabaldon of Snowflake, Mary Ann Baca (John Girardot) of Snowflake and Mela (Bernie) VerStratton of Lake Havasu; 40 grandchildren; and 95 great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded in death by two daughters, Regina Levine and Angie Duran; one son, Exie Baca; two sons-in-law, Pete Gabaldon and Charlie Duran; and her parents.
   Owens Mortuary Heritage Chapel in Snowflake was in charge of the arrangements.
