Thelma Inez Wood

Following a lengthy battle with cancer, Thelma Inez Wood, 69, died in the early morning hours of Sunday, May 4, 2008, at her home with her loving family gathered around her. Per her wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
    Thelma was born on July 5, 1938, in Tucson to Ernest Everett and Mary Euline (Allen) Harmon.
    Thelma lived a few years in Alabama, but since 1974 she made Arizona her permanent home. She worked many years as a secretary in the drywall construction industry, and was a joy to work with.
    Survivors include her husband, Perry Clarus Wood of Show Low; her son, Theodore Cameron Mullins of Union City, Ind.; her daughter, Cynthia Lea Jordan of Mobile, Ala.; her stepson, Perry L. Wood of Tuc-son; three brothers, Charles Harmon (Bonnie) of Dudleyville, Joe Harmon (Pat) of Tucson and Robert Chavez of Queen Creek; four sisters, Marcia Peddie (Mickey) of Wagon Wheel, Ernestine Crews (Ed) of Show Low, Dora Atherton of Lakeside and Gloria Griffin (Odell) of Oracle; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
    Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
