Jimmie Lee Petersen

    Jimmie Lee Petersen, 72, died on Friday, May 16, 2008, in Clay Springs. Funeral services will be held at 11 o’clock this morning (May 21) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Clay Springs Ward Building, with a visitation one hour prior to the services.  Interment will be at the Clay Springs Cemetery.
    He was born June 14, 1935, in Snowflake to Mary Blanche Peterson and Thorwald Woodrow Peter-sen.   
    He was a loving husband, father and friend.
    He was an active member of the LDS church.  
    Jimmie worked for the Arizona Department of Transportation for 27 years in the Sign and Striping De-partment as a mechanic, and retired in 1997 as a highway technician.  He also worked in the logging indus-try as a heavy equipment operator. Jimmie loved to farm, and was a lifetime member of the Arizona Rang-ers.
    Survivors include his wife, Marian Lawrece; 10 children, Jimmy Roy Petersen, Judy L. (David) Wood, Mary Arvilla Granato, Doyce “DoDo” Woodrow (CoCo–Coleen) Petersen, Lenna S. Wilkie, Violet J. Knight, Arley D. Petersen, Mary Esther Petersen, Blanche Irene Petersen, and Lawrence Woodrow Peter-sen; 23 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Louise (Bill) Barrows, Clara (Lloyd) Reid-head, Thora Perkins and Janet (Albert) Crandell.
    Owens Mortuary of Show Low was in charge of the arrangements.
