Idanelle Hayes
    Idanelle Hayes (Brewer-Perkins), 86, died on Monday, Feb. 2, 2009, at the Hospice Family Care and Inpatient Unit in Gilbert.  Funeral services were held Feb. 7 at the Love Lake Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Taylor.  Burial followed at the Clay Springs Cemetery.
     Idanelle was born on Nov. 13, 1922, in Clay Springs to Jacob Edward Brewer and Amanda Rogers.  
    She was sealed to Andrew Myron Perkins (Perk) of Taylor in the Mesa Temple on Oct. 20, 1938. They were married for 42 years before his death while driving a truck on Dec. 24, 1980.
    She was preceded death by seven siblings, listed as follows from oldest to youngest, Besty Beatrice, Amanda Hortence, Eliza Gladys, Wallace Rex, Smith Fenton, Edward (Ted) Rogers and James Kimball. Idanelle was the youngest of the bunch.
    Idanelle and Perk had six children, Myron Ray (Tammie) of Taylor, Olive Diane Brewer of Phoenix, Kim Brewer Perkins, who became ill and died Feb 20, 1981, Jeanne Sharon Nix of Mesa, Stephen Edward (Clare) of Mesa and Michael Kent (Barbara) of Peoria. She had 48 grandchildren, including Myron Joseph Perkins, who is serving a mission in Johannesburg, South Africa; 47 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.  
    She married Manuel Leo Hayes on Aug. 31, 1991, and is survived by him. He gave her three stepchildren, Ken (Karyn) Hayes of Albuquerque, N.M., Dave (Billie) Hayes of Buckeye and Martha (Don) Foster of Paulsbo, Wash.  
     Idanelle will be greatly missed.  
    Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
