Barbara Dugger

    Barbara Mae Dugger, 78, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 9, 2009, surrounded by her loved ones. Funeral services were held March 14 at the Warren Avenue Church of Christ in Winslow, with Pastor Dave Hart officiating. Interment followed at Desert View Cemetery in Winslow.
    Barbara was born on Aug. 31, 1930, to Clarence O. and Blanche M. Campbell. She graduated from Winslow High School in 1948. When Barbara was 15 years old visiting an aunt in California, she met the love of her life, Bernal F. (Buck) Dugger, and they were married three years later on Nov. 16, 1948, in Albuquerque, N.M., where Barbara was attending business school.
    Barbara was a wonderful wife and mother. She went to work for Lester West at the “Green Store” in 1963, and then worked as a teacher’s aide for Winslow Public Schools until she retired in 1985.
    She loved family, music and fishing. She also loved board games, swimming classes, lunch with her friends, volunteering and being a board member of the Winslow Senior Center, as well as playing cards with all of her dear friends, “The Shanghai Girls.” She was a member of the Warren Avenue Church of Christ.
    Survivors include her two sons, Steve Dugger of Flagstaff and Frank (Gayle) Dugger of Ontario, Ore.; her daughter, Terry (Willard) Havely of Blanco, N.M.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law, Carole Campbell of Peoria; her aunt and uncle, Bobbie and Neil Harrah of Winslow; and many nieces, nephews and cousins who loved her and will greatly miss her.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, Buddy and Johnie Campbell; and her beloved husband, Buck Dugger.
    Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
