Julius J. Dallman Jr.

    Julius J. Dallman Jr., 81, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at his home in Overgaard. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 21, at the Heber Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, with Noni Dye officiating. Interment will be at Heber Cemetery.
   He was born June 18, 1927, in Hartington, Neb., the son of Julius and Mabel (Wear) Dallman Sr. He was raised and attended school in Hartington, graduating from Liberty High School in 1945.
   After graduation, he worked on the farm with his mother following his father’s death.
   He was married to Maude on June 27, 1954, in Hartington.
   He worked for the state of Nebraska as an equipment operator for a period before moving to Blythe, Calif., where he worked in a service station. He moved to Anaheim, Calif., where he was manager of Rin-shed-Mason automotive paint manufacturing company for 26½ years, retiring in 1985.
   Following retirement he worked at Yellowstone and Grand Canyon national parks for 13 years.
   He settled in Heber-Overgaard in 1996, where he enjoyed reading history, tinkering, building and work-ing part-time.
   He was very active civically in all of the communities in which he lived.
   He was a member of Shepherd of the Pines United Methodist Church in Heber and the YMCA in Ana-heim.
   Survivors include his wife, Maude of the home; a son, Mason Dallman of Anaheim; a daughter, Blythe Paz (Mike) of Yorba Linda, Calif.; three grandchildren, Kristen Paz of San Diego, Calif., Sarah Dallman of Glendora, Calif., and Jonathan Paz of Yorba Linda; a sister, Bette Louise Stillwell of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; and a brother, Darold Dallman of Hartington.
   He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Julius III; and three brothers, Howard, Lowell and Bobby.
