Rev. Emerson Tootsie, 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, in Scottsdale. Funeral services were held May 30 at Keams Canyon Community Fellowship.
He was born Oct. 2, 1935, in Keams Canyon to Leonard P. Tootsie and Alice P. Tootsie.
Survivors include his wife, Isabelle Tootsie; his daughter, Valerie Joe; his son-in-law, Ray Joe; four sisters, Virginia Benally of Keams Canyon, Adelle Wapana of Ft. Gibson, Okla., Emmaline Lalo of Keams Canyon and Dorothy B. Copeland of Geary, Okla.; three brothers, Edison Tootsie of Keams Canyon, Carl Tootsie of Polacca and Hillis Tootsie of Keams Canyon; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Greer’s Mortuary of Winslow was in charge of the arrangements.
