Glen Maurice Stratton, 80, of Snowflake passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009, in Chandler. Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at the Snowflake Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Interment was in the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake. Glen was born to the late William Raymond and Millie Bertha (Hunt) Stratton. Glen was well loved by all, and dedicated his life to his family and the many people who surrounded him. He always made people feel like “a million bucks.” Those who knew him best will probably remember his most famous quote: “You know how great you is?” Survivors include his loving wife, Velma H. Stratton of Snowflake; five daughters, Carolyn (Gordon) Penrod, Norma (Jeff) Schneider, Margie (Mark) Wirth, Janet (Rob) Christopher, all of Mesa, and Julie (Ray) McCray of Snowflake; five sons, Kent (Tammy) Stratton and Phil (Becky) Stratton, both of Snowflake, Mike Stratton and Paul Stratton, both of Mesa, and Terry (Noelle) Stratton of Taylor; 41 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one brother, Elden “Spud” (Peggy) Stratton of Snowflake; one sister, Mable (LeRoss) Jones of Mesa; and many extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Stratton; and a grandson, Brandon Stratton. Owens Livingston Mortuary of Snowflake was in charge of the arrangements.
