Desbah Lou “Buzz” Yellowhair, 45, of Snowflake passed from this life on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009, in Mesa. Funeral services were held Oct. 21 at the Temple View Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. Interment was at the Mike Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake. Desbah was born to Robert Yellowhair Sr. and Louise Mae Jinnity Yellowhair on Jan. 7, 1964, in Los Angeles, Calif. The family moved to Arizona, where she had lived for 45 years, graduating from Snowflake High School in the Class of 1982. Desbah attended Navajo Community College for two years. She was a member of the LDS church. Desbah was an accomplished silversmith and had many interests in her life, including dart throwing, pool, writing and reading, and she loved watching football. As a youth, she enjoyed basketball and horseback riding. Survivors include her parents Robert Jr. and Louise Mae Yellowhair of Snowflake; her grandmother, Phoebe Yellowhair of Indian Wells; five brothers, Carl, Johnny, Loren and Robert Jr. Yellowhair, and Uriah Washington, all of the Snowflake area; two sisters, Carol Yellowhair and Tina Taylor of Snowflake; nine nephews and eight nieces; and one grandnephew and three grandnieces. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Peter Yellowhair. Silver Creek Mortuary of Taylor was in charge of the arrangements.
