George C. Bryant

    George Charles Bryant, 74, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Snowflake. A public visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 tonight (Jan. 22) at Owens Livingston Mortuary-Heritage Chapel, located at 84 E. 19th South in Snowflake. The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 23, at the Main Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 48 N. Main St. in Snowflake, where an additional visitation will begin one hour prior. The concluding service and interment will follow at the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.
    George was born on July 30, 1935, in Snowflake to the late Roy Tenney and Ada (Ramsay) Bryant.
    He was a 1954 graduate of Snowflake High School, and was very involved with the school’s athletic program. He played football while he was there and, in 1954, the year he graduated, George made the All Northern Basketball Team.
    Throughout his life, George was a successful businessman, farmer, rancher and horseman.
    He was a member of the Snowflake 9th Ward of the LDS church.
    Survivors include his seven children, Ray (Carla) Bryant, Rena Bryant, Ryan Bryant, Ranona (Duane) Wiehl, Ranae Stephens, Cassie Bryant and Kala Bryant; one brother, Jim Bryant; two sisters, Hazel Brimhall and Ruby Brimhall; 22 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
    Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Louis Bryant; and a granddaughter, Lauren Wiehl.
