 It’s off with the old and on with the new as Michael Barela of Holbrook removes the Jack Rabbit Trading Post advertisement from a billboard on Navajo Blvd. in Holbrook in order to make way for a new one. The Barela family has been painting billboards along Route 66 in this region since the 1950s beginning with Michael’s father Severo, who is also a Holbrook resident.
