Park Elementary School Play

Students in Nichole Livingston’s kindergarten class at Park Elementary School joined their Reading Buddies from the second grade classrooms of Renee Alley and Margarita Newton-Pender to present a reading play to their parents and fellow students May 19. The young thespians include (left to right) Lidia Luna, Amy Nilsson, Ciera Irving, Jaden Nuvamsa and Dylan Nez. The kindergartners have paired up with second graders since the beginning of the school year so that the second graders could teach them reading concepts. According to Livingston, the program was a huge success, with every kindergartner now able to read.
